Infinity Investment Group purchased the 1.5 hectare existing Oakridge property in Wanaka in 2002. An extensive refurbishment programme was carried out, including an upgraded bar and restaurant facility, redecoration and landscaping.
Existing ‘visitor accommodation’ zoning on the land permitted additional holiday apartments. A comprehensive development plan was completed by Infinity Investment Group for 23 apartments, and resource consent was obtained. The plan included 23, 2-bedroom apartments, 8 studio units with en-suites, restaurant and bar, recreation activity rooms, swimming pool and spa pools, tennis courts, petanque and children’s playground.
Oakridge was sold in May 2004 and is now owned by Accor Hotels.
